Ilio Mare Hotel

Nice resort, secure, medium size which is good, big room and comfortable.

The hotel is clean and all the hotel staff is friendly, very helpful people. We apprecieted the hospitality during our stay. The hotel manager welcomed us by sending a bottle of wine to our room. Room was big. We had a quiet and peaceful stay. No loud music, it's a place to have a relaxed stay. Beach area is nice with enough seabeds. The pool is clean and lifeguard is always around. It's not crowded as well. Car parking has never been an issue as there is always a place to park the car. The facilities and the furniture is old however everything is enough to have a comfortable stay. The food was okay. Of course it's hotel food so we didn't expect to eat exceptional Greek food. Yet the buffet offers enough variety of food and the taste is okay too.

After our stay in 2022, my family and I chose Ilio Mare for a sea vacation again this summer. We were happy to see that the quality of service has been maintained over time. We had a peaceful vacation and left the hotel with a quite positive overall impression. The receptionist completed the check-in process quickly and with a smiling face. The suite room we stayed in was extremely large, spacious and clean. The ventilation system is strong. The balcony of the room is big enough for three people to sit comfortably. The beds are comfortable and orthopedic. The area where the hotel is located is very calm and quiet, free parking is possible right in front of the hotel. If you come to Thasos with your own car by ferries departing from Keramoti, you can reach the hotel after about 20 km from the port where you get off. If you prefer the ferries departing from Kavala instead of Keramoti, you can directly reach the Prinos area where the hotel is located. The restaurant capacity, decoration and presentation of the food is very successful. The variety at breakfast is quite sufficient. For dinner, there are always five or six main courses, one or two of which are seafood (our favorite). The flavor of the food is quite good, you will finish the products you take on your plate. At the pool and beach, there are constantly renewed clean beach towels, there are enough sun umbrellas and sun loungers for all guests. The entire beach and the sea are sandy, the sea does not deepen immediately, so it is suitable for families with small children. The bar staff serving the beach brings what you want immediately. There is a continuous and fast enough internet connection in almost every area of the hotel.

The hotel’s spacious and airy rooms were perfect for a family holiday. The large, clean pool in the middle of the hotel was enjoyable, but being able to reach the sea in just a few steps was an even nicer. The soft sand and crystal clear water took our beach pleasure to the top. The bar and open buffet overlooking the sea offered a variety of delicious dishes, but the most unforgettable moments we experienced were at the a la carte restaurant Lagoon. The meals meticulously prepared by Chef Grigoris were wonderful, and our waiter Stefanos always helped us with our food choices with his fast service. The general service quality of the hotel was impressive; the hotel manager( Mr. Kappas) personally took care of any of our needs. I would recommend this hotel with all my heart for relaxation.

Breakfast and Dinner were great! Variety of foods to pick from. Staff was pleasant and helpful! The beach was amazing. We had a wonderful vacation and would come back!! Avgi Katchutas
